Fall of 2010 Acceptances

2010 - Time for the FAFSA!
If you are considering financial assistance from colleges in any way, the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is your first step. Go to www.fafsa.gov to set up a PIN (personal ID number), fill out the application, and get help!

www.cfnc.org - Also a great place to find info about paying for college!!

College Planning HandbookThe table below provides some starting points in your college planning. If you know which colleges you'd like to apply to right now, be sure to check the admissions requirements on their websites. If you are researching scholarship information, don't forget to visit the websites of major corporations (Pepsi, Coke, Chic-fil-a, Toyota, etc.) to look for scholarships they may offer! MAKE TIME FOR RESEARCH!

Transcript Requests

If you need transcripts sent to a college, please fill out the Transcript Request Form and turn in to Kelly Choplin, Academic Counselor. Make sure you don't wait til the last minute to do this; Mrs. Choplin also teaches and will need some time to generate, doublecheck, and mail your transcript. Colleges usually want the transcript sealed and mailed directly from CCS to their Admissions, but you can request an unofficial copy for yourself, if you need it.

You may fax the Transcript Request Form to (252) 431-0333, hand deliver it to the school, save it as Word document and email it as an attachment to kchoplin@ccscolts.org, or mail it to the school at PO Box 249, Henderson, NC 27536.

College Power Bulletin - Answers the questions, "Why go to college?" and "How do I find scholarships?"

How Are Our Graduates Doing? - If you know any graduates from CCS, let us know how they are adjusting to college or work life after CCS. Read their stories here...
