Crossroads Christian School was host to three schools on March 13 for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Art Festival. Fifty-seven students earned their way to submit artwork and participate in the half-day event. Mrs. Jody Bohannon, an artist and art teacher from Clarksville, Virginia, presented a spiritual lesson and an art project. She discussed “redeeming the rain stick.” She taught students that when they hear the rain, they will know that God hates sin, but loves them and sent His Son, Jesus, to redeem them. Students made their own cross shaped rain sticks. Student artwork was judged by local artists and art teachers. Ribbons were presented. Corey Choplin, an eighth grade student at CCS, earned Best in Show honors.
