REQUIRED ANNUAL AHERA NOTIFICATIONS
The US Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires all schools to inspect building materials for the presence of asbestos. AHERA excludes schools from the inspection requirement if the school was constructed after October 12, 1988, and has a signed statement from the architect or project engineer responsible for constructing the school stating that no asbestos-containing building materials were specified for use in the construction of the school. Our school has been provided such a statement, and is, therefore, exempt from the requirement to conduct an asbestos inspection.

Jacob Campbell's
Tire Changing Service

After the juniors' visit to Vance-Granville Community College on Friday, Jacob Campbell did his good deed for the day by changing Jainee Renn's flat tire. He was assisted by Libby McCauslan and students from the Automotive Dept. at VGCC. They still made it to Ichibar with the rest of the class for lunch!
