Parent involvement is at the heart of our mission at CCS as we aim to partner with parents. We encourage parents to get
involved and use their talents, time, resources and wisdom. Whether it is by volunteering in the library, substitute teaching,
providing lawn maintenance, helping in concession at CCS or NCSU, joining
our Booster Club, or helping in the Cafetorium, there are many ways to serve at CCS. We thank all of our past volunteers
and encourage you to become our newest volunteer. Please contact Angie Boyd in the School Office and let us know
where you can best help CCS with your gifts, talents, and time.
Booster Club
The CCS Booster Club did a tremendous job again in 2008-2009, but we need your support to
continue the growth of our Athletic Programs in 2009-2010! The Booster Club will purchase the
uniforms for all of the athletic teams, any equipment needed, awards banquets, maintenance and
improvements to fields, and concessions at games, as well as cover coaches stipends. Take advantage of the fun
and fundraising opportunities they work so diligently to help provide for our school’s needs. Thank you in advance for
all you do to help our school’s athletic programs.

Parent Alert System
The Parent Alert System is a new feature offered through RenWeb. It allows parents to register
for $3.60 per year and receive instant alerts for school closings, emergencies, schedule changes,
etc. via their cell phones, PDA’s, email, and other communication devices. It is a neat and valuable
way for parents to stay informed in this world of unexpected emergency events. Look for upcoming
emails for a sign-up date!
